March 15, 2004--NXN Technology (www.nxn.com.tw) today announced the launch of its new WM2M (Wireless Machine-to-Machine) solution for fleet operators and telecom, which utilizes GPRS and Internet Technology to connect mobile assets devices simply and wirelessly.
NXN’s WM2M solution is designed to address the challenges of implementing and managing small, medium and large number of mobile as well as fixed asset devices using GPRS/GSM network. This “plug & play” M2M platform comprises of NProbe Series, the intelligent GPRS data terminals with versatile I/O interfaces and enhanced protocol capabilities, and XGate series, the GPRS Gateway Server with embedded dynamic IP resolution Technology that help application service providers quickly integrate GPRS Technology in to their own systems.
The first device of its kind suitable for fleet operators and mobile telecom operators, NProbe GV-100 GPS+GPRS Vehicle Locator is ideal for owners of different fleet size. Together with XGate GGS-9000, NXN’s M2M platform offers fleet owners or telecom operators complete solution that can manage up to 200 vehicles.
The built-in HMI and capabilities to integrate RS-232 devices enable wireless serial data transfer between handy terminals and a host. For example, lofistic system integrators can link a bar code scanner to GV-100 and create a wireless link between PC and fleet driver. In addition, control center can send a real-time message to the driver for better allocate it’s fleet resource.
